Today I am making Tater Tot Casserole for National Tater Day! What's your favorite tater dish?

National Stick Day...what does that mean? I have no idea, but I happened to purchase this book this week! Sticks written and illustrated by Diane Alber. Here is my read aloud of Sticks. I'm not sure I have ever made a black forest cake. I think I will try tomorrow. Here is a recipe, but there are lots. 4 layers may have been a lofty goal. messy, but good!
National Scribble Day! I don't know about you guys, but I love to scribble. I used to play a game with my kids that I would start a drawing and then pass it along. Each person would add a scribble or anything to it. Give it a try. I am attaching a read aloud of the book Scribble Stones written and illustrated by Diane Alber. It is a great home art project! Get out today and scribble. As for National Paella Day! Paella is a traditional Spanish rice dish. I plan on making it for dinner. I'l show you pictures later. What is nougat? The short answer is that it's a type of candy made from honey, sugar, nuts and often egg whites. Nougat is in some of my favorite candy bars like Snickers, Three Musketeers and Milkyway. Here is a recipe for a milkyways.

The 25th was national Waffle Day! My daughters and I made cheddar, bacon waffles with fried chicken. We battered the fried chicken in Doritos and Cheez Its. Everyone loved it! Stay tuned! Thursday March 26th is Nougat Day and Epilepsy Awareness Day – Purple Day!
